What is UVO?
UVO, short for "Your Voice", is a powerful infotainment system available only in Kia vehicles. First version of UVO, which is available in many 2013 model year vehicles, provided drivers with advanced voice control of the driver's connected media devices and mobile phones and more. Kia has added a new offering called UVO eServices, which adds new services such as 911 Connect, vehicle diagnostic reports and more.
What is the difference between UVO, UVO eServices, UVO eServices with Nav and UVO eServices with Premium Nav?
UVO provides advanced voice control, 4.3 inch touch screen, rear view camera and more. UVO eServices is a new suite of services, which includes features such as 911 Connect, vehicle diagnostic reports and more. UVO eServices with Nav has the same features as UVO eServices, with some additional features including navigation and turn-by-turn guidance. UVO eServices with Premium Nav has an 8 inch touch screen and SiriusXM Travel Link®
How do I update my UVO system?
Once you have registered your free MyUVO.com account, you will receive notifications whenever a new software version is available for your vehicle. Instructions for updating the software will also be provided.
What is MyUVO account?
MyUVO account allows owners view vehicle diagnostics, vehicle maintenance needs and more. MyUVO is only available for drivers who own UVO eServices or UVO eServices with Navigation system.
Why is the date and/or time displayed on MyUVO not correct?
MyUVO uses the time and date set on your smartphone. Make sure you have set the correct time and date on your smartphone.

What is Bluetooth?
Bluetooth wireless technology is a feature that allows drivers to connect their compatible devices without the use of cables. UVO uses this technology to allow drivers connect compatible phones to make hands-free calls, listen to music and more. Please observe all national and local laws and only use this feature when it is safe to do so.
How do I use Bluetooth?
You must first pair your compatible device to use this feature. To view pairing instructions and compatibility ratings, please see the Bluetooth Compatibility section of this website under Phone support.
How do I make hands-free phone calls?
To make hands-free phone calls, you must have a compatible device that is connected via Bluetooth wireless technology. After ensuring you've met these requirements, press the Push-to-Talk button on the steering wheel and use the commands, "Call [Receiver's Name]" or "Dial [Phone Number]". For more information, please refer to your owner's manual or quick reference guide. Please observe all national and local laws and only use this feature when it is safe to do so.
Can I plug in my iPhone over USB and use UVO eServices?
Not at this time. To use UVO eServices, you must disconnect the USB cable of your iPhone.

How do I use voice commands?

How do I start using eServices?
You must register an account on myuvo.com. After this, confirm your email address by opening the confirmation email sent you after registration. Finally, download the Kia UVO eServices App and activate on your vehicle's audio control unit. For more information, please refer to your owner's manual or quick reference guide.
How do I activate 911 Connect (Crash Notification Assist)?
To use this service, you must have a compatible mobile phone that is connected via Bluetooth wireless technology. To activate this feature, turn on your vehicle, press the Info/Setup key under your touch screen, press Setup on your touch screen, Press UVO eServices, and then select Crash Notification Assist. Please note that there are factors that affect the operation of this feature such as severity of the collision, vehicle battery power, mobile phone reception and possibly more. How do I send a location from Google Maps to my navigation system?
Browse to maps.google.com, find a location you’d like to drive to, click on the location’s marker on the map, select “more”, select “Send”, select “Car”, under the “Make:” dropdown select Kia and enter the email address you use to log into MyUVO with. Please note that these instructions may change due to any changes Google may make to any of its services. Please note that maximum of 25 destinations may be sent. If more are sent, the first location will be deleted.
How do I send a location from MyUVO account to my navigation system?
Log into your account, select a vehicle, select “My POIs”, select “Add New Location”, search for a location, select a location on the map or left-hand list, select “Add this location” and select “Save POI”. Please note that maximum of 25 destinations may be saved.
What is Parking Minder?
Parking Minder allows you to view your vehicle's parking location on your UVO eServices app. Additionally, you can take pictures of the surrounding area and set an alarm if you'd like, which is helpful if you need to return to your vehicle by a certain time. How do I run a diagnostics report and view the results?
Turn on your vehicle and make sure it is in Park, press the Info hard key, select UVO and then press Vehicle Diagnostics on the touch screen. After it has finished running, you may send the results to your MyUVO account, which is accessible from the UVO eServices smartphone app or online by logging into myuvo.com.
